My Story
Oliver Lloyd grew up in multicultural Cape Town, South Africa, which immersed him in a vibrant and diverse musical landscape that significantly shaped his tastes and perspectives. The rich cultural landscape of his hometown fostered a deep appreciation for collaboration and community, foundational attitudes that continue to influence his work in artist management.
From a young age, Oliver exhibited strong skills in team and project management, which were honed through various roles such as leading sync briefs, overseeing EP production, managing bookings for live events, and performing A&R duties for a management company. His abilities as a keen learner, listener, and leader have been instrumental in his career progression.
At 16, Oliver moved to the UK to pursue his passion for the music industry more seriously. He studied Music Business at the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM), where he refined his skills and built a robust network of industry professionals, including students and lecturers.
Today, Oliver is actively involved in the music industry through his work with organizations such as Cre8ting Visions, In The Loop, and the Music Managers Forum (MMF). His ongoing passion for music, inspired by his early influences, drives his commitment to discovering new artists and attending live events. This enduring love for music underpins his dedication to fostering talent and contributing to the ever-evolving musical landscape.
